Lissa began her trek into the theatre at the age of fourteen when her family moved from Massachusetts to sunny Ventura, California. It was in middle school that she 'had' to take an acting class since every other elective was full. Thus began her love affair with an artistic world. One that continues to fulfill her heart desires. She continued to act in middle school, high school, college, community theatre, and even a few independent films.
At 24, she decided to move forward in her training at the Los Angeles Theatre Academy. While training as an actor she found herself falling deeper and deeper into the costume department. She began taking on jobs that her teachers thought her talents could tackle, such as Wig and Hair Design (see pics of Cher Antoine), costume building, as well as Costume Head and dresser for various college productions. She branched off into the community theatre world to design Lion in Winter in 2004, her first full length play on her own. Costume design has since become a great passion.
She continues to take on projects that fulfill and entertain all her artistic wants and dreams in beautiful Ventura, CA. She has become the resident Costume Designer with the newly formed theatre company Ventura Impromptu Players.
She is currently available to take on new and exciting theatre projects. In the months to come we will be uploading our complete stock of costume available for rental.
